I did not have any plan or guide for this; I started by applying the paint by hand. I got to a point where I was ready to scrap the whole thing, then one of my boys came in and said, “That is a really cool fireworks painting!” Then I added the water reflecting the nighttime display. I named it 1776 to celebrate Independence Day.
